# Request an Accelerator

# Request an Accelerator {#ariaid-title1}

Request the number of concurrent Impact Accelerators available in your entitlements and complete the setup.

For details about available Accelerators, refer to the [Accelerator catalog](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/O6gCk7S9TR9Q_2XDBhGdxA "This is a complete Impact Accelerator catalog that combines the Architecture, Strategy, Technical, and Optimization sub-catalogs.").

Role required: Impact app admin, Impact platform owner, or Impact portfolio owner.

Accelerators and Initiatives follow a similar procedure for requesting and monitoring progress.

## 手順

1. Navigate to AllImpactAccelerators \& initiativesOverview.
2. Select Request Accelerators \& initiatives from the Your Accelerators and Initiatives Overview page.
3. In the [Accelerator Catalog](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/KnsYQWCNuYaW4CtV67y86g "Learn about available Accelerators and Initiatives that you can request to help achieve your business outcomes for your instance."), select an Accelerator card and select the maximize icon to view the details.
4. Select Request Accelerator.  
   If you have reached the maximum number of concurrent Accelerators, select the Schedule later button to schedule the Accelerator for later.
5. Select View terms and conditions for this Accelerator to understand the terms in the Consent Provided section.  
   If you have already granted consent for an Accelerator, the terms and conditions for the Accelerator appear as accepted.

   If you have not granted consent for an Accelerator, you must accept the terms and conditions from the Manage Permissions menu in the Impact IDE. See [Manage Initiative and Accelerator permissions](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/gTfLOupQit4g50b_Sho3bw "Review and approve Initiative and Accelerator activities access using Manage Permissions.") for more information.

   If you need time to decide, select Revoke. Your request doesn't move forward.
6. In the Request form section, fill in the fields.

   | Instance type to copy | Instance type such as Production or Non-production |
   | Instance to copy | Name of the instance in selected instance type |
   | Use ServiceNow demonstration instance | Option to use the ServiceNow demonstration instance for the Accelerator request |
   | Do not upgrade the temporary instance | Option to use the copied instance for the Accelerator request without upgrade |
   | Temporary instance access | User to receive access to the temporary instance |
   | Preferred start date | Preferred start date for the Accelerator |
   | Assign to business objective | Business goal expected for this Accelerator |
   | Owner | Name of the owner for the Accelerator request |
   | Watchlist | Names of the team members who track the progress of the Accelerator request |
   | Reason for Request | Reason for the Accelerator request |
   | Attachments | Relevant files for reference |

7. Initiate the Accelerator setup by selecting Complete Setup.  
   A dedicated Accelerator setup page displays the status of the Accelerator setup.
8. Select Start Accelerator.
9. Follow the progress of the Accelerator setup along with the Activity Information on the navigation panes.  
   If you requested to copy an instance, the progress of the instance copy appears on the navigation pane.
10. Respond to the Impact squad by using Notes and Comments, and by adding Attachments.
11. Select Complete Accelerator when all the activities listed on the navigation pane are complete.

    | Action | Description |
    | Put Accelerator on Hold | Pause an Accelerator for reasons such as a pending decision or clarification. You can resume the Accelerator later by selecting Resume. |
    | Cancel Accelerator | Stop progress of the Accelerator request if you change your decision. |

    If you complete or cancel an Accelerator before all the activities are done, all activities that are in progress are canceled. You can select Confirm or Cancel. You can also select Reopen to reopen an Accelerator.  
    The status of the Accelerator changes to Complete or Canceled.
