  • If you have an on-premise (self-hosted) instance, you can procure apps from the ServiceNow Store. Download encrypted apps and products to install on your instance, or connect your instance to the ServiceNow Store to sync purchases with your instance directly.

Overview of using the ServiceNow Store for on-premise instances

If you have an on-premise instance, there are two ways that you can procure apps and products from the ServiceNow Store.

    • Use a computer with network access to download encrypted application files, and then transfer those files to your on-premise instance.
    • Connect your on-premise instance to the ServiceNow Store to sync purchases with your instance and make them available for installation. Contact Customer Service and Support to connect your instance to the ServiceNow Store.

Procuring apps and products without connecting to the ServiceNow Store

Use the following steps to procure apps and products without connecting your instance to the ServiceNow Store.

    1. Get an app or product as an on-premise customer

Procure and download an encrypted app from the ServiceNow Store for use with your on-premise instance.

    2. Upload an app to an on-premise instance

Upload an application's encrypted file to your on-premise instance to make it available for installation.

    3. Install the app or product using the Application Manager

After uploading the encrypted app file, use the Application Manager to install the application to your on-premise instance.

Procuring apps and products by connecting to the ServiceNow Store

Contact Customer Service and Support to connect your instance to the ServiceNow Store.

After Customer Service and Support confirms that your instance is connected to the ServiceNow Store, follow the same steps used to procure and install applications in hosted instances. Refer to Getting apps and trials from the ServiceNow Store for more details.
