The Help page in the Clone Admin Console provides access to clone documentation, Now Assist, and app version management.

## Why Clone {#clone-help-resources__clone-help-resources-why-clone}

Instance Clone is the out-of-the-box workflow for copying production configuration, code, and data to non-production instances. This provides a safe environment to develop and test new capabilities or
upgrades before deploying to production.{#clone-help-resources__clone-help-resources-para-1}

## Now Assist for Clone {#clone-help-resources__clone-help-resources-now-assist}

Select the Now Assist icon in the top right corner of the page to ask clone questions and get answers on clone setup, configuration, and more. If the icon isn't visible, visit the Now Assist KB or contact your ServiceNow account team.{#clone-help-resources__clone-help-resources-para-3}

To use Now Assist for Clone, the following are required:

* Now Assist license activated on your instance
* Australia Patch 2 or later

Important:  
If you purchase a Now Assist license after initially installing the Clone Admin Console, you must reinstall the Clone application from the store to enable the Clone FAQ Agent skill. This is a one-time step that loads the clone-specific skill into Now Assist.

## Check for update {#clone-help-resources__clone-help-resources-version}

The Help page displays the current version of the Clone Admin Console app and whether it is up to date. Select Check for updates to check for a newer version. The page also shows the date and time of the last sync with the store.{#clone-help-resources__clone-help-resources-para-4}  
Note:  
The Check for updates option applies only to the Clone Admin Console app. It doesn't check for or apply the family upgrade for the instance.
