Summary of Request limits in Fluid Topics Knowledge Hub web services
Fluid Topics Knowledge Hub web services use an API that limits the number of maps, topics, and unstructured documents returned per request by default. These limits are set to 1,000 items per request for each content type and may restrict the Fluid Topics external content connector from fully indexing large source systems.

Default Retrieval Limits
- Maps: Up to 1,000 maps per request via the List maps Knowledge Hub web service.
- Topics: Up to 1,000 topics per request via the Search topics Knowledge Hub web service.
- Unstructured Documents: Up to 1,000 documents per request via the List unstructured documents Knowledge Hub web service.
If your source system contains more than 1,000 items in any category, the connector cannot retrieve all content in a single request, limiting indexing completeness.
Requesting Increased Limits
To enable full indexing of your source system content, you can request higher retrieval limits by submitting a ticket to the Fluid Topics Help Center. It is important to request increases for all applicable content types to ensure the external content connector can retrieve all maps, topics, and unstructured documents.
For example, if your source system has 544 maps, 1,817 topics, and 1,193 unstructured documents, you should request increased limits for both the Search topics and List unstructured documents web services.
By default, the Fluid Topics API limits the number of maps, topics, and unstructured documents retrieved by requests to Knowledge Hub web services. These default limits may prevent the Fluid Topics external content connector from indexing all of your source system content. To request increases to these limits, open a ticket in the Fluid Topics Help Center.

| Item type | Default limit |

The connector needs to retrieve all of your maps, topics, or unstructured documents in a single request.
Increasing retrieval limits in the Fluid Topics API
To request increases to these Knowledge Hub web service retrieval limits, you can open a ticket in the Fluid Topics Help Center at https://helpcenter.fluidtopics.com/. As an example, if your source system includes 544 maps, 1,817 topics, and 1,193 unstructured documents, you must request increases to the default retrieval limits for both the Search topics and List unstructured documents Knowledge Hub web services.
