Configuring SCIM automatically provisions and de-provisions users and groups to ServiceNow by using the providers provisioning service.

## Before you begin

Install SCIM plugin.

## About this task

You can provision users using SCIM by the following authentication methods:

* [Provisioning user using Basic Authentication](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/TgZWq7ZJYzGxex9dkY0xyg "Configuring SCIM automatically provisions and de-provisions users and groups to ServiceNow by using the providers' provisioning service with Basic Authentication.")
