# Create a safety case from the workspace

# Create a safety case from Health and Safety Workspace {#ariaid-title1}

Begin the resolution process by creating cases based on questions received from employees.

## Antes de Iniciar

Role required: sn_hs_cm.case_manager, sn_hs_cm.case_writer, or sn_hs_cm.rtw_writer

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to AllHealth and SafetyHealth and Safety Workspace.
2. Select the cases icon (![Health and safety cases icon.]()) to open the Cases tab.
3. In the Lists tab, select Cases and then All.
4. Select New to create a safety case.
5. On the form, fill in the fields.  
   For information about safety case form fields, see [Health and Safety case form](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/EplmaTV7n1qszIzoo33Emw "Safety case manager can use the safety case form to resolve health and safety questions that they receive from employees.").
6. If it's a return to work case, enter details related to the employee's return to work after an injury or illness in the Return to work details section.  
   This section appears only when Yes is selected from Return to work.
7. **Opcional:** If necessary, attach an image related to the employee's question using the add attachments icon (![Add attachment icon.]()).
8. Select Save.

## Resultado

* Based on the selected category, a safety case is created in the Open state.
* If it's a return to work case, Leaves and Injury and illness tabs appear in this case.

## O que Fazer Depois

As a safety case manager, you can assign the case to yourself and start working on it. You can also assign it to another safety agent.
