# Create an involved parties record

# Create an involved parties record {#ariaid-title1}

Capture information about people associated with the ER case. Involved parties can be
the complainant, subject of the allegation, a witness, or other (undefined).

## Antes de Iniciar

Role required: sn_hr_er.case_writer

## Procedimento

1. **Opcional:** Navigate to the Involved Parties tab in Core UI.
   1. Navigate to AllEmployee RelationsCases.
   2. Select an ER case.
   3. Scroll down to the related list and select the Involved Parties tab.
   4. Select New.

2. **Opcional:** Navigate to the Involved Parties tab in Agent Workspace for HR Case Management.
   1. Navigate to AllHR Case ManagementAgent Workspace for HR Case Management.
   2. Select the Lists icon (![Lists icon]()).
   3. In the ER category, select an ER case.
   4. Select the Involved Parties tab.
   5. Select New.

3. Fill in the form.

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | HR case | The HR employee relations case number from the case you selected. |
   | Type | The type of involved party. Select: * Complainant (the person or group that makes a complaint). * Subject of allegation * Witness * Other {#hr-er-involved-parties__ul_vm1_wps_mlb} |
   | Not in system | Option for indicating the involved party is not an employee of your company. Nota: When you check this box, the Name field replaces the User field. |
   | User | The person who is the involved party. Only appears when you don't check the Not in system box. |
   | Name | The name of the involved party. Only appears when you check the Not in system box. |

4. Click Submit or Save.  
   * If you select Save, the Interviews and Corrective Actions tabs appear. For more information, see [Schedule an interview in Employee Relations using the legacy UI](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/3PRmzxyiEU6D67KDN5oogg "Documenting interviews is crucial to ER cases. Use the Interview form to take notes and capture important details of the ER case.").
   * Use the Corrective Actions tab to create and associate a corrective action record with an involved party.
   * If an allegation record is created, the Subject of Allegation is auto-populated from the Involved Parties record of type Subject of Allegation, provided that only one subject of allegation exists.
