# Preparing for migration from Legal Simple Contracts to Contract Management Pro for Legal Service Delivery {#ariaid-title1}

Prepare the ServiceNow instance to migrate the data from Legal Simple Contracts to Contract Management Pro for Legal Service Delivery.

Note the following requirements to prepare your ServiceNow instance for migration:  
* Contract Management Pro for Legal Service Delivery is installed.  
  Nota:  
  Contract Management Pro for Legal Service Delivery is a licensed application and must be installed separately from the ServiceNow® Store. For more information, see [Install Contract Management Pro for Legal Service Delivery](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/D9bgZhZlquc72nXO2bC8fA "Install the Contract Management Pro for Legal Service Delivery (sn_lg_cnt) application. The application installs demo data and related ServiceNow Store applications and plugins if they aren’t already installed.").
* Any customizations done in Legal Simple Contracts must be reproduced in Contract Management Pro for Legal Service Delivery.
* Any changes to the contract repository records should be done before closing the legal request or the changes will have to be done manually after migration.
* Record producers available in Legal Simple Contracts should be re-created in Contract Management Pro for Legal Service Delivery.
* If you have configured external storage for Legal Simple Contracts, ensure you have done so for Contract Management Pro for Legal Service Delivery.
* Create Microsoft Word document templates in Contract Management Pro for Legal Service Delivery that are equivalent to the HTML or PDF contract templates available in Legal Simple Contracts.
* Ensure that Contract Management Pro for Legal Service Delivery is set up correctly.
