Use the lifecycle event test tool to thoroughly test a lifecycle event before launching
it.
The lifecycle event test tool provides different views of a lifecycle event. The different views available are:

* Use filters to show only applicable activity sets and activities for the subject person. For example, you can select a subject person and preview what that person will see and what tasks are assigned to them.
* You can use conditions like HR criteria to view what activity sets and activities the selected people will see and what tasks are assigned to them.
* Each activity set and activity can be assigned to specific audiences. You can view the activity sets and activities applicable to a specific audience.
* You can also view all activity sets and activities that are not applicable to an audience.

Nota:
When a user matches an activity but not an activity set, the activity set and activity will still appear.

Inapplicable activities and sets
: When using the lifecycle event test tool, you can show activities and sets that are
    inapplicable for a subject person.
: A subject person is considered inapplicable when they do not meet the audience criteria for
a specific activity or activity set.

Indeterminate activities and sets
: When using the lifecycle event test tool, you can show activities and sets that are
    indeterminate for a subject person.
: A subject person is considered indeterminate when there is not enough information to
determine if the subject person is part of the audience.
* **[Preview and test a lifecycle event](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/u9o_DnubHqtos2FnsnhsIg)**
Preview and test a lifecycle event for different audience types. You can preview a lifecycle event to validate which activities will trigger or not for a particular audience. You can then create a test lifecycle event case for different users and select which activities to include or exclude in your test.
