Update a submitted digital forensic request
Update the request details, add comments, manage custodial and non-custodial data, or upload documents in a digital forensic request you submitted while it is still in the New state. You can cancel a submitted request irrespective of its state.

Procedimento

Navigate to All > Employee Center.
Nota:If you’re using Legal Service Portal, open a request by navigating to the Legal Service Portal portal and selecting My Requests from the header.
- Select Legal services from the header.
- Select My Requests from the header.
- Open your submitted digital forensic request from the list.

On the Standard Ticket page, review and edit the request details or cancel the
request.
Action Steps Edit request details Nota:This option is available if the request is in the New state.- From the Actions menu, select Edit Request.
- In the Variables form, complete any of the following actions:
- To modify the request details, update fields as needed.
- To add custodial data, click Add. For more information, see Add a custodian to a digital forensic request.
- To remove all custodial data, click Remove All.
- To add non-custodial data, click Add. For more information, see Add a custodian to a digital forensic request.
- To remove all non-custodial data, click Remove All.
- To add multiple custodial or non-custodial data from a file in one go, click Upload. For more information, see Add custodial and non-custodial data from a file.
- Click Save.
- Click Back to return to the Standard Ticket page.
Cancel the request - From the Actions menu, select Cancel Request.
- In the Confirm request cancellation dialog box, provide the
reason of cancellation in the Comments
field and click Confirm
Cancellation.
The request is canceled and the cancellation comments appear in the Additional Comments section of the request.
- Opcional: In the Activity tab, provide comments supporting your request.

Manage documents supporting your request.
Option Steps If the Attachments tab is visible - To upload a new document, select the add attachment icon (
) and select a file.
- To rename an attached file, select the edit file name icon (
) and update the file name.
- To remove an attached file, select the delete icon (
).
If the Documents tab is visible - To upload a new document, select Attach and select a file.
A link to the document is listed in the External URL column of the documents list.
- To remove an attached file, select Delete. In the Delete document dialog box, select a document from the list, and then select Delete.

In the Custodial Data tab, view the existing custodians added to the request or export to a file by clicking the more options icon (
).

In the Non-Custodial Data tab, view the existing non-custodial data added to the request or export to a file by clicking the more options icon (
).
