# Configure a custom map screen

# Configure a custom map screen {#ariaid-title1}

Configure a map screen to see location-based information on a map from a mobile app. The map highlights points of interest and users can switch between a map view and list view.

## Antes de Iniciar

Role required: sn_wsd_core.admin

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to AllSpace MappingMobile Wayfinding AdministrationCustom Map Screen.
2. Provide the Custom map screen name and description.
3. On the form, complete the following form field information

   | Field | Description |
   | Icon | Place type icon. Search using the search icon (![search icon]()). |
   | Empty State | Add an image, text, and buttons to direct users to perform an action, view a particular screen, or review specific information. Configure an empty state to inform users that a page currently does not contain data. |
   | Default provider | Select a custom map provider (Indoor Mapping or Mappedin. For more information, see [Configure a custom Map provider](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/8236mgGVI_Wyt6Ex_3UjEQ "Configure map providers so that directions are displayed from one location to another in Workplace Service Delivery for Mobile") and to enable indoor position (blue dot) experience automatically on a map to show the blue dot from the start to the end destination for wayfinding. |

4. Click Submit.

## Resultado

Map screens displays a map with locations that are associated to the records in a data item.
