# Work with acknowledgements

# Work with acknowledgements using the Service Portal {#ariaid-title1}

After you have received a request to provide acknowledgement for a policy, you have
the option of working with the request in the ServiceNow AI Platform, or you can perform
your actions in the ServiceNow
Service Portal.

sn_grc.business_user, sn_grc.business_user_lite, sn_grc_emp_user.grc_employee

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to the ServiceNow Service Portal.
2. In the header bar, navigate to GRCMy Policy Acknowledgements.  

   All pending policy acknowledgement requests assigned to you appear.
3. To view details of the request, click View.  
   Nota:  
   The actions you can perform on the policy acknowledgement depend on how the acknowledgement campaign was configured, as follows.

   | Opção | Descrição |
   | If the policy is in compliance | Click Accept. |
   | If the policy is not in compliance and you are allowed to decline the request | Click Decline. |
   | If you do not want to respond, and you want to opt out | Click [Request Exception](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/uzGpA4uej8IYCxjXvSWOvg "Users can request exceptions for policies, control objectives, or issues by specifying the reason of exception on a particular list of the systems, applications, networks, or entities for which the exception will apply. The user must also specify the duration for which the exception is required."). |
