  • Access Insights is a feature within the Access Analyzer application that provides data-driven recommendations and comparative analysis regarding user, role, and group entitlements.

    Key functions include:
    • Peer-level comparisons: Analyze a user's role and group entitlements in comparison to other users within the same company, department, or managed by the same person.
    • Identification of over-provisioning: By highlighting differences in access between comparable users, you can pinpoint users that may have excessive permissions.
    • Troubleshooting and compliance: Quickly identify and resolve access-related issues and ensure that access controls are consistent and compliant across similar job functions.

Based on the insights gained, you can decide if a user has inappropriate access (either too much or too little) and make the necessary adjustments to their roles and groups to ensure consistency and compliance.

    Importante:
As a best practice, compare users at a peer-level (same organization, same department, same manager).

You enable Access Insights in Settings. To learn more, see Configuring Access Insights.

You use Access Insights while comparing users' access with the Compare user access feature in Access Analyzer. To learn more about using Access Insights, see Using Access Insights.
