ITOM AIOps AI specialist is an AI-powered team member that handles routine alert triage, so your operators can focus on alerts that need human judgment. See the following sections for release notes by
version.

## About AIOps AI Specialist {#aiops-specialist-rn__aiops-ai-specialist-static-about}

* The AIOps AI Specialist triages incoming alerts, finds the root cause, assesses service impact, and surfaces remediation options without waiting for an operator to start the process.
* The AIOps AI Specialist deflects insignificant or noise alerts so your team's queue stays focused on alerts that matter.
* Operators make the final decisions. The AIOps specialist does not make autonomous changes to your environment, and every remediation action requires an operator to activate it.
* The AIOps AI Specialist is onboarded like a human operator, with a name, a team assignment, and the Operator role. Its activity appears on the dashboard alongside your human operators.
* Supervisors can monitor alert activity, review alerts closed by the AIOps AI Specialist, and track AI efficiency from the AIOps home page and the AI supervising tab.

It also suggests remediation options that an operator must activate. The AIOps specialist does not make autonomous changes to your environment. Operators review its findings and make the final decisions. The AIOps AI Specialist holds the Operator role and is onboarded like a human team member.
