MCP Server Console release notes
The ServiceNow® MCP Server Console application enables secure and governed access to functionality on a ServiceNow instance for AI applications with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. MCP servers extend ServiceNow AI Platform® functionality into any external MCP client and employee experience over the Model Context Protocol. MCP Server Console is a new application in the Australia release.
MCP Server Console highlights for the Australia release
- Get started with the preconfigured Quickstart Server for looking up and summarizing incident and case records.
- Create MCP Server Console servers and tools based on various categories including Now Assist skills for different use cases.
- Connect to any MCP Server Console client using OAuth 2.0 authentication.

- The ServiceNow AI Platform now brings you an AI native experience with three licensing tiers available:
- Foundation: AI agents and skills to deliver insights
- Advanced: AI agents and skills to boost productivity across relevant use cases
- Prime: Act autonomously with all AI agents and skills, and create your own
- Version 1.3
- Create tools from additional capabilities for use with ServiceNow MCP clients
- With this release, you can now create tools from additional categories like, Subflow, Action, REST APIs, Knowledge graphs and Now Assist skills.
Activation information
MCP Server Console is available with activation of a Now Assist application. For more information, see Installing Generative AI Controller and Install Now Assist plugins.
