ServiceNow Studio highlights for the Australia release

As of version 29.2.6, organize apps and files into collections, which extend the existing bookmark system by allowing multiple organized folders of applications, app files, and lists.
As of version 29.2.6, view all deployment requests and attach update sets to them directly in ServiceNow Studio.
As of version 29.2.6, developers who prompt Build Agent to create an app from the ServiceNow Developer site are redirected to ServiceNow Studio within their personal development instance (PDI) to continue building their app.
As of version 29.1.4, when opening a file that supports preview in ServiceNow Studio, the interface defaults to the preview pane instead of the underlying record form, providing immediate visual context for the file content.
As of version 29.1.4, when creating an application, the Create with Now Assist option opens Build Agent by default instead of the Now Assist for app generation skill.

Important information for upgrading ServiceNow Studio to Australia

ServiceNow Studio no longer has to be downloaded from the ServiceNow Store. It’s available on the ServiceNow AI Platform by default.

Australia Patch 3 (June)
Create a collection of files in ServiceNow Studio: Create collections of your most frequently used apps, files, and lists for easy access. Collections extend current bookmark capabilities and can contain apps and files from different scopes.
App deployment in ServiceNow Studio: View deployment requests directly within ServiceNow Studio. Attach update sets to a request to group related changes for deployment.

Australia Patch 2 (May)
Create an application in ServiceNow Studio with Build Agent: Begin a chat with Build Agent directly from the app creation workflow. This setting can be configured in user preferences.

Build Agent in ServiceNow Studio: Use Build Agent in ServiceNow Studio to create and edit full-stack applications conversationally.
Add UI Builder files to your apps in ServiceNow Studio: Add UI Builder components, controllers, experiences, page collections, and UI interactions into your ServiceNow Studio apps.

UI changes

Create a collection of files in ServiceNow Studio: As of the Australia Patch 3 (June), the Bookmark icon is now the Collections icon. Bookmarks are available as a category under collections.
ServiceNow Studio user interface: The Navigator panel icons in ServiceNow Studio have changed slightly in size and appearance, but not in function.

Build Agent in ServiceNow Studio: Developers who prompt Build Agent to create an app from the ServiceNow Developer site are redirected to ServiceNow Studio instead of ServiceNow IDE to continue building their app.

Australia Patch 2 (May)
Preview an app file in ServiceNow Studio: Files with preview capabilities open directly in preview mode in ServiceNow Studio, bypassing the record view. This change reduces the number of steps required to view file content and keeps developers focused on their work without manual mode switching.

Integrated tab groupings: Integrated tabs are no longer color-coded or grouped by scope. You can see a list of the open files by selecting the more actions icon and selecting Show Opened Editors.
Build Agent in ServiceNow Studio: Build Agent is the default setting for AI-assisted app generation in ServiceNow Studio. You can change this setting in the ServiceNow Studio user preferences menu.
