Run the Automated Test Framework (ATF) test suite for Container Vulnerability Response

    • Run the Automated Test Framework (ATF) test suite after you install or upgrade the Container Vulnerability Response application.

    Before you begin

    Confirm a successful installation and that your instance works as designed.

    The test execution property is disabled by default to prevent running tests on a production system. Run tests only on development, test, and other non-production instances. If demo data or demo accounts are created, all demo data should be removed prior to using the instance in non-production or production.

    • To enable the test, follow these steps:
      1. Navigate to All > Automated Test Framework (ATF) > Administration > Properties.
      2. If not selected, select the Enable test/test suite execution check box.
      3. Click Save.
      4. If the scope is not set to Container Vulnerability Response in the header, or the scope is not displayed in the header, click the settings icon.
      5. In the System Settings window, click Developer.
      6. If not selected, click Show application picker in header and close the window.
      7. In the list that is displayed next to System Administrator, click Container Vulnerability Response for the field.

    Role required: admin or atf_test_admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Automated Test Framework (ATF) > Tests.
    2. From the Package list, locate Vulnerability Response and Configuration Compliance for Containers.
    3. Select a test to open the record.
    4. In the open record, select the Active check box.
    5. In the Test Steps related list, select true in the Active column.
    6. Click Update.
    7. Open the test again and click Enable tests and test suite execution here.
    8. Enable Test/ Test Suite Properties and Test Debugging Properties.
    9. Click Save.
    10. If the Run Test button is not displayed, refresh your screen, open the record again and click Run Test to start the test.
      After a few moments, the Run Test dialog indicates a successful test. Click Go to Result for more information.
