Select a connector template

  • Select a template to support your API's structure.

    Before you begin

    These templates provide you with options that are based on API structures that are widely used by security tool vendors. When you select a template, you’re choosing a configuration that aligns with industry-standard ways of organizing and communicating with APIs. By selecting a common response format (JSON), HTTP methods (GET or POST), and well-known pagination strategies, connecting with a wide variety of security tools is easier, because you’re using familiar and widely adopted API patterns.

    Procedure

    1. Select one to continue.
      OptionDescription
      Select Use Now Assist See Create an API connector with Now Assist for Vulnerability Response for the steps for using Now Assist.
      Select one option from a list and Apply to view the template cards that match your selections.
      1. Select Clear filters to reset.

        The cards with available templates change as you apply your choices in the modals.

        Response type - JSON is supported.

        HTTP method - Select GET or POST.

        Pagination type - Select one. Select the information icon (lower case letter i for more information) to the right of the Pagination type list above the template cards for more information. Pagination strategies and sample requests and responses are also provided.

      2. Select the information icon (lower case letter i for more information) on a card for more information about the template.
      3. To choose a template from the available results, select Select.

        The name of the selected template is displayed above the cards, for example, CXF0000008.

    2. Select one option from each list and Apply to view the template cards that match your selections.
      Template option Description
      Response type JSON is supported.
      HTTP method GET or POST is displayed.
      Pagination type View the information (lower case letter i for more information) icon for more information on pagination strategies you select.
    3. Select Save and continue to save your template.
      You must save your changes before you can continue.
