# Create a connection for a Service Graph Connector in SGC Central {#ariaid-title1}

Create a connection added for a Service Graph Connector within the SGC Central view of the Service Graph Workspace or CMDB Workspace.

## Before you begin

Role required: SGC-admin or admin

## Procedure

1. Use one of the following methods to open SGC Central:
   * Navigate to WorkspacesService Graph Workspace, and from the left navigation panel, select the Ingestion icon ![]() to open the SGC Central view.
   * Navigate to WorkspacesCMDB WorkspaceSGC Central.

2. On the Overview page, select Create connection.  
   Tip:  
   Alternatively, you can select Create connection on the All connections page.
3. On the Create connection window, select a connector type and then follow the playbook instructions to create a connection.  
   If the playbook experience isn't supported for a connector, follow the guided setup instructions.  
   Note:  
   * When you select a connector type, the application scope changes to the selected type.
   * When setting up a connection using a Service Graph Connector for the first time, you might need to complete the initial setup tasks.
