Enable Benchmarks

  • Configure the Benchmarks application for your company to enable your company to compare performance with industry peers. You can opt out of Benchmarks at any time.

    Before you begin

    To keep the Benchmarks comparison data clean, you can opt in to Benchmarks only from your production instance.

    Role required: sn_bm_client.benchmark_admin

    About this task

    Benchmarks is installed on your instance by default. It is also installed with the ITSM Success Dashboard application. Enable Benchmarks by opting in to the application.

    Six months of global data is available after opting in. If available, the corresponding data for your instance is also included.
    Note:
    Past data for your instance is only available for Benchmarks users upgrading from a previous release.

    Procedure

    1. Opt in to Benchmarks by using the guided setup or by using the Success Dashboard.

      1. Navigate to Continual Improvement > Administration > Guided Setup.
      2. Go to the Enable Benchmarks section and select Configure.

      1. Navigate to All > Success Dashboard > Getting Started.
      2. On the Success Dashboard Admin Console, locate Benchmarks and select Configure.
    2. In the Opt-in to Benchmarks section on the Benchmarks configuration page, select the Opt-in Agreement link.
    3. Read the Opt-in agreement and then select Okay.
    4. Acknowledge the Opt-in agreement by selecting the Yes, I agree/accept the Opt-In Agreement check box.
    5. Select Opt-in.
      The Benchmarks configuration page appears and Benchmarks is enabled on your instance.
