Open Virtual Agent or Chat in Desktop Assistant

    Before you begin

    Ensure that both the DEX Desktop Assistant plugin [sn_dex_desktop] plugin and the Desktop Assistant application have been installed. For more information, see Install DEX Desktop Assistant and Download and install Desktop Assistant.

    Role required: sn_dex_desktop.user or sn_dex_desktop.admin

    Procedure

    On the Desktop Assistant home page, click the virtual agent or chat icon (Virtual agent or chat icon on the Desktop Assistant home page header. Use the chat to get answers to your queries.) appears that on the Desktop Assistant header.

    To get a response, enter your question in the Please type your request field and press Enter. To customize the topics that must be displayed and available on the Show me everything window, see Getting started with Virtual Agent Designer.
