View notifications

    Before you begin

    Ensure that both the DEX Desktop Assistant plugin [sn_dex_desktop] plugin and the Desktop Assistant application have been installed. For more information, see Install DEX Desktop Assistant and Download and install Desktop Assistant.

    Role required: sn_dex_desktop.user or sn_dex_desktop.admin

    About this task

    Notifications initiated by users themselves are not displayed in the Desktop Assistant application.

    Procedure

    On the Desktop Assistant home page, click the notifications bell icon (The Notifications bell icon).
    A red dot with number on the bell icon indicates the number of new notifications. When you click the notification bell icon The Notifications bell icon, a drop-down list appears displaying the list of notifications.

    Note:
    For a specific logged-in user, the Desktop Assistant application retrieves notifications from the [sys_notification] table that are configured for the Next Experience route. For more information on how to create next experience notifications, see Create custom notifications in Next Experience.
