  • The Digital Product Release Workspace provides a single location for release admins to define release processes and release readiness targets. Product managers can use it to create and manage products and features, define the scope in versions, and plan and execute releases.

    Digital Product Release Workspace users

    The following users can use the Digital Product Release Workspace. The workspace is personalized for different roles.

    Release manager
    • Manages a Release calendar
    • Establishes a Release process, including policy gates
    Release coordinator or Program manager
    • Communicates dependencies across a release
    • Approves the scope of a release
    • Provides status updates to the Release team
    Product manager
    • Releases new products, enhancements, and features
    • Communicates updates to the development status
    • Plans the scope of a release
    • Initiates a release
    Engineering lead
    • Ensures development of new products, enhancements, and features
    • Connects development scope to a release

    Accessing the workspace

    To open the workspace, navigate to Workspaces > Digital Product Release Workspace.

    Landing page

    On the workspace landing page, get a quick overview of the active releases, open approval tasks, and policies compliance status.

    As a release manager, you can use the onboarding tool to create and manage release processes.

    Note:
    The widgets and the data that are displayed in the widgets depend on your role.

    Release template Playbook

    In the workspace, you can use the Playbook to create release templates.

    The following is an example of a release template playbook. For more information, see Create a release template.
