  • You can exclude access to assignment group data and display only the assignment groups that are relevant for the logged-in user in the Workforce Optimization for ITSM manager workspace.

    Before you begin

    Role required: admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Workforce Optimization for ITSM > Manager Workspace Configuration > Group Exclusions.
    2. On the Groups not included in WFO form, select New.
    3. In the Name field, enter a meaningful name for one or more groups you want to exclude from displaying in the Workforce Optimization for ITSM manager workspace.
    4. Set the filter conditions to exclude the groups.

For example, if you define a condition as [Name] [does not contain][Support], then the Workforce Optimization for ITSM manager workspace doesn't display any groups that contain Support in the group name.

For information on configuring condition builders, see Condition builder.
    5. Select Submit.
      Note:
You can also use scripted extension points to extend the definition of the groups that you manage in the Workforce Optimization for ITSM manager workspace. For information, see Using extension points to include access for specific groups in Workforce Optimization for ITSM manager workspace.
    6. Optional: Verify that the user logged in as the Manager Workspace Manager (sn_wfo_cfg_ws.manager) can access the correct assignment groups data.
      1. Impersonate the manager for which you want to verify access.
      2. Select All and in the filter navigator, enter sys_user_grmember.list.
      3. Select the filter icon and set the condition as [Group] [is(dynamic)][MYWFOGroups].
      4. Select Run.

The output displays all assignment groups that have access to the manager workspace. This output is based on the configurations in the Group Exclusions filter and the implementations using the extension points.

If the assignment groups listed are missing any groups that the logged-in user must have access to, verify that the Group Exclusions filter, and the extension points are configured correctly.
