Learn more about Contracts Core through a sample workflow and review the benefits it can provide.

## Contracts Core overview {#cncore-expl-ccore__section_bjx_v3q_dyb}

Contracts Core enables you to effectively manage a library of clause variations, requests for electronic signature, receive notifications, and integrate with an external storage system.

## Clause variations {#cncore-expl-ccore__section_sby_w1v_trb}

A clause variation is a block of content, which can be dynamically added to the contract document, eliminating the need for several templates for the same type of request. For example, say that for a Non-disclosure Agreement
contract document only one section needs to be changed based on the geographic region of the signing entity. You would create multiple document templates with identical content with the only difference being location-related
content. You could now use the condition-based clause variations to create only one contract template that can generate documents for different locations.

## Clause {#cncore-expl-ccore__section_brj_phs_fyb}

A clause is a collection of clause variations, which contain a block of content.

Clauses are stored in a clause library, from which you can insert them in contract templates. You can create and add clause variations while creating a contract template or add them later.

## Word document templates {#cncore-expl-ccore__section_t2k_drc_syb}

Save time and the manual work of filling out contract documents or standard letters from scratch for each request by using contract or document templates to generate them. Word document templates can be used by business units
to generate a contract document with predefined content when an employee submits a contract request. For example, you can create a contract template for Non-disclosure agreement to generate a Non-disclosure agreement
contract document.
