# Associate a group to a business location

# Associate a group to a business location {#ariaid-title1}

Associate a group with the desired business location by establishing a one-to-many (1:M) relationship. This association helps you assign cases directly to the appropriate assignment groups.

## Before you begin

Note:  
A group can only be associated with a single business location, but a business location can have multiple groups.

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllCustomer ServiceService OrganizationsBusiness LocationsInternal/ External Business Locations.
2. Select the internal or external business location from the list that you want to associate an assignment group to. 
3. In the Assignment Groups related list, select New. 
4. On the Service Organization Assignment Group form, fill in the fields.

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Service organization | Auto-populated with the name of the business location to which you're adding an assignment group. |
   | Assignment group | Name of the assignment group that is to be added. |

5. Select Submit.
