# Associate a product with a service definition

# Associate a product with a service definition {#ariaid-title1}

After creating a service definition, you can associate one or more product models or
sold products with the definition.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_csm_case_types.service_definition_manager, sn_csm_case_types.service_definition_admin, or admin

## About this task

A product model or a sold product can have multiple services associated with it.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllCustomer ServiceAdministrationService Definitions.
2. Select a service definition.
3. In the Product Service Relationships related list, select New.  
   The system displays a new Product Service Relationship record. The Service definition field is auto-filled with the name of the selected service definition.
4. Determine if this service definition is available for all products or for a specific product.  
   * If it is available for all products, enable the All products check box and go to step 6.
   * If it is available for a specific product, leave the check box empty and go to the next step.

5. Select the product in the Product field.
6. Select Submit.  
   The relationship record is added to the Product Service Relationships related list. If the relationship is for a specific product, the name is displayed in the Product column.
