A content destination defines the page and widget for publishing news articles. It is a component of a content template, which auto-generates publish plans for new articles.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_cd.content_admin

## About this task

The Employee Center Pro provides the following content destinations:

* All News: the news feed widget on the News Center page
* Featured News: the featured news widget on the top of the News Center page
* Featured News Mobile: the news section on the mobile app
* Latest News Home Page: the news widget on the portal Home page
* Other News: the news feed widget on the article detail page

To view a graphic of these content destinations, see the Publishing News articles section of [News articles](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/VYmUku1Os7fgC5RxropzBw "The News article content type combines content creation features from the Rich Content Editor with new publishing methods that enable high volume content publishing to the portal and Now Mobile app to keep employees updated on company news and announcements.").

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllContent PublishingRe-usable ComponentsContent Destinations.
2. Click New.
3. Fill in the following fields:
   {#ec-add-content-destination__table_ilw_lt1_jfb__entry__2}

   | Fields | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Name | Name of the content destination. The name is what you select when you create a publish plan. |
   | Content location | Specify whether to publish the content to the employee service portal or mobile app. |
   | Page | The page in the employee portal where to publish the content. |
   | Widget instance | The widget in the employee portal where to show the news article. |
   | Active | Make the content destination available for use in publish plans. |
   | Refine duration | The period of time for which to make the news article available. Note: Although content templates also have a duration field, the duration set in the content destination overrides the setting in the content template. This enables you to fine-tune the content duration based on its publishing location |
