Plan configuration approvers review and approve plan configurations.

ServiceNow administrators [assign plan configuration approvers](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/NEZyYzCOzlyjVpjzDJt2SQ "In Journey designer version 2, administrators assign the initial owners and approvers to a plan configuration.")
for different plan configurations. Approvers are assigned by ServiceNow
administrators. Approvers are subject matter experts (SME) with specialized skills related to
plan configurations. When an owner publishes updates to a plan configuration an approval task is
created for any approvers.
