# Pause or resume work order task tracking on a mobile device

# Pause or resume work order task tracking on a mobile device {#ariaid-title1}

Record a break from a work order task through the Field Service Contractor for mobile if you are unable to continue the work for
any reason.

## Before you begin

Role required: wm_ext_agent

## Procedure

1. Access your instance using the ServiceNow Agent mobile application.
2. On the My work navigation tab, tap Today's tasks.
3. Open a work order task that is in progress.
4. Tap the more actions (![More actions icon]()) icon.
5. Tap Pause work.  
   On the work order form, the button toggles to Resume Work.
6. Tap Resume Work when you are ready to work on the work order task again.
