# Set up Impact analysis dependency update configuration

# Set up Impact analysis dependency update configuration {#ariaid-title1}

Configure the Impact analysis dependency update configuration record to configure the BIA record (for which the dependencies are updated), its target records, sources, and notification preferences.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_bcm.admin, sn_bcp.plan_admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to Business ContinuityGeneral AdministrationImpact analysis dependency update configuration.
2. Select New.  
   The example shows the Impact analysis dependency update configuration record.

3. On the form, fill in the fields.

4. Select Submit.  
   According to the configuration set up by the BCM administrator in the Impact analysis dependency update configuration record, the dependencies are updated in the BIA.

   The BIA owner and approver review the updated dependencies and complete the BIA workflow.
