# Set up an approval configuration record

Set up an approval configuration record to enable multiple levels of approvals and select approvers for each level based on approval rules.

## Before you begin

The GRC: Approver Configurator (sn_grc_appr) application for approval configurations is installed with the GRC: Policy and Compliance Management application.

Role required: sn_grc_appr.admin, sn_compliance_ws.corporate_compliance_analyst, sn_compliance_ws.corporate_compliance_manager

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllApproval ConfiguratorApproval Configurations.
2. Select New.  
   The Approval Configuration New Record is displayed.

3. On the form, fill in the fields.  
   For information on the fields in the form, see [Approval Configuration New Record](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/AZ_IGOc2UXOwZNxhMEyr0g "Use the Approval Configuration New Record form to create an approval configuration record.").  
   Note:  
   You cannot have more than one approval configuration applying to the table with the same priority.
4. Select Submit.
