# Add related citations to a control manually

Enable the Citation to Control Mapping feature for more accurate compliance scoring and management.

## Before you begin

Role required: Compliance Manager (sn_compliance_ws.corporate_compliance_manager) or Corporate Compliance Analyst (sn_compliance_ws.corporate_compliance_analyst)

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllPolicy and ComplianceCompliance Workspace.
2. Select the List icon (![List icon.]()).
3. Navigate to Compliance libraryControls.
4. Select the control where you want to associate additional citations.
5. In the Control page, navigate to Citations tab, and select Add.  
   The Citation available for associations dialog displays only the eligible citations that can be associated to the control:
   * Citations linked to the control's control objective and its parent hierarchy.
   * If the control is independent (no control objective), all citations are available.

6. Select the citations that you want to associate and select Add.

## Result

The new citations now appear in the Controls tab.
