Details of the out-of-the-box roles that can access Hardware Asset Workspace.

| Role | Access details |
|-|-|
| inventory_admin | Access to create, edit, manage, and delete stockrooms. |
| procurement_user | Access to procurement tasks such as creating purchase orders and viewing transfer orders. |
| inventory_user | Access to stock information. |
| model_manger | Access to create, modify, and delete records of the base Model \[cmdb_model\] table. |
| contract_manager | Access to create, edit, and delete contracts through the Contract Management application. |
| itil | Access to open, update, and close the following items: * Incidents * Problems * Changes * Configuration management items {#ham-workspace-roles__ul_n2c_spq_fgc} |
| sam_admin | Access to work on any functionality that the Software Asset Management application offers. |
| asset | Access to create, edit, manage, and delete the hardware and consumable asset records. |
| catalog_manager | Access to view and assign catalog editors to their categories. Also create, modify, and publish items within those categories. |
| ham_admin | This role is available only when the Hardware Asset Management (HAM) is installed and provides access to all HAM features. |
| sam_user | This role is available only when the Hardware Asset Management application is installed |
| catalog_admin | Access to create, edit, and manage the Service Catalog. |
| sam | Access to Software Asset Management features included with Asset Management. Different roles such as sam_admin, sam_user, and sam_developer are required to use the Software Asset Management application. |
