# Create consumption breakdowns

# Create consumption breakdowns {#ariaid-title1}

Create consumption breakdown records to make your showback report more detailed by
reporting the expense line accounts that comprise the consumption statement
item.

## Before you begin

Role required: service_charging_analyst  
Important:  
This feature is available only when you own an ITBM Analyst
license.

## About this task

For example, a storage service invoice can provide the consumption details of
individual items such as Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III storage. Each of these items
provides the associated cost calculated that is based on the unit cost of each
item.

## Procedure

1. Click New in the Consumption Breakdowns related list to create breakdown records for the consumption statement item.
2. Fill in the form fields.

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Name | Name of the consumption breakdown. |
   | Table | Defaults to the table from where the data is retrieved. |
   | Condition | Filters data that fulfill the condition from the table. |

3. Click Submit to save the record.
