Initiate an alert analysis from the Now Assist panel. The alert analysis displays directly in the Now Assist panel for convenient review.

## Before you begin

Role required: evt_mgmt_operator

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesService Operations Workspace.
2. Select the List icon (![List icon]()) in the navigation bar.
3. Select ListsAlertsAll Alerts.
4. Initiate an alert analysis from the Now Assist panel using one of the available methods.

   | Launch an alert analysis | Procedure |
   | From the list | 1. Select the Now Assist panel icon (![Now Assist panel icon.]()). The Now Assist panel displays. 2. Enter an alert analysis request, including the alert number, in the field at the bottom of the panel. Note: If you provide incomplete information, Now Assist prompts you for the missing details.    | From an alert form | 1. Open an alert. 2. Select the Now Assist panel icon (![Now Assist panel icon .]()). The Now Assist panel displays. 3. Select Perform alert analysis. The alert analysis displays in the panel. {#alert-analysis-now-assist-panel__ol_m4j_w5s_5cc} |

5. **Optional:** Enter follow-up questions or requests.  
   For example: <kbd class="ph userinput">Summarize the analysis</kbd> or <kbd class="ph userinput">Show alert severity</kbd>.
