Approve a change request for SRM team approval

  • Approve a change request when the change is reviewed and approved by someone in the Approver role.

    Before you begin

    Only open change requests are available in this view.

    Role required: admin or SRM approval team

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Service Operations Workspace.
      You are taken to your SRM homepage.
      Note:
      If you have other SOW applications, and depending on your assigned roles, that homepage may not be the SRM homepage. It is the SOW homepage instead, with SRM alerts and incidents included in your metrics. In that case, to view SRM specific areas, select SRM modules from the left navigation pane.
    2. From the left navigation pane, select the reliability tasks icon (Reliability tasks icon).
    3. Select the Changes tab.
    4. Open a change request.
    5. If you are the intended owner of the service or team, select Assign to me, otherwise, assign it to the intended owner within the list view or the record.
    6. Select to open the record.
    7. On the State field, select the list and select Approved.
    8. Select Save.
      The state of the change request changes from the Assess state to the Approved state.

      On approval, the new service or team is created and added to the SRM team. Owner is set to the person shown in the Assigned to field. Managed by group is set to the SRM team belonging to the assignee.
