SRM interface

  • The different components on the SRM interface provide easy access to different functions. The features and functions that appear depend on your role and permissions.

    The SRM interface has the following different sections:
    Note:
    If you have other SOW applications, and depending on your assigned roles, that homepage may not be the SRM homepage, as described. It is the SOW homepage instead, with SRM alerts and incidents included in your metrics. If you have other roles, like itil, you may see additional icons in the left navigation pane.

    In that case, to view SRM specific areas, select an SRM module.

    Alerts, incidents, and changes
    The SRM interface includes the following sections:
    Sections Description
    1 - Header A home for your organization logo and system-level utilities that are present everywhere in the interface.
    • All

    • History
    • Workspaces
    • Current workspace
    • Search
    • Sidebar discussions
    • Help
    • Notifications
    • Profile icon: Represents your profile.
    2 - Navigation pane Easy access to specific modules in SRM.

    The left navigation is in icons. Use tool tips to identify them.

    Note:
    The Alert automation icon Alert automation icon is only available if you have installed the Alert automation application, available upon request, from the ServiceNow Store.
    3 - Content headers Tabs, cards, or buttons that provide the means to accomplish product-level tasks. The elements in the content header differ from one section to another. See SRM home page and SRM landing pages for more detailed information on these sections.
    4 - Content area Canvas or the main area where you can gather information, read metrics, and perform tasks.
    Note:

    If you want to minimize the far right side panel on forms, by default, navigate to Preferences > Workspace and disable the Show sidebar option.

    Be aware that this disables it for all of Service Operations Workspace, not just SRM.
