    • Install and configure required plugins to start monitoring and administering your organization's devices using Digital End-User Experience.

    Install and configure the Digital End-User Experience (DEX) plugin and Agent Client Collector (ACC) to enable comprehensive monitoring of devices and web applications. Follow these procedures to generate the ACC registration key, install ACC on Windows and macOS, verify connectivity, configure proxy, optionally switch from MID-based to MID-less architecture, and enable the DEX browser extension. Complete these steps to make sure that devices are properly onboarded for Application and Device Health, laying the foundation for reliable experience data collection across your environment.

    DEX guided setup

    After installing DEX, use the DEX guided setup experience to install and configure the associated plugins.

    In the primary navigation pane, select the DEX Administration icon () and access-guided setup through the following cards:

    Agent deployment on Windows devices
    Install Agent Client Collector for DEX on Windows.
    Agent deployment on macOS devices
    Install Agent Client Collector for DEX on macOS.
    Deploy browser extension
    Enable DEX browser extension.
    Desktop Assistant deployment
    Activate Desktop Assistant on the employee's device.
    Digital End-user Experience Self-service configuration
    Configure the DEX Self-service on your ServiceNow® instance.
