# Perform a basic activity configuration

# Perform a basic activity configuration {#ariaid-title1}

Configure activities to determine which records you want to retrieve from a table
when certain conditions are met.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin, sp_admin, or ESC admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllEmployee CenterActivity Configuration.
2. Click New.
3. On the form, fill in the fields.  
   For more information about the form fields and descriptions, see [Activity Configuration form](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/x7OtyAcBIWNOvy094dQOnQ "Use the Activity Configuration form to do a basic configuration or an advanced configuration for an activity.").
4. Click Save or Submit.

## What to do next

If you click Save, the Activity Configuration Details tab appears. Provide details for a basic activity configuration.
