# Create an appointment reason

Create a reason that employees can use to book an appointment.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_hr_core.walkup_admin, sn_walkup.walkup_manager

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllEmployee CenterAppointment BookingAppointment Reasons.
2. On the Walk-up Reasons for Visit list, select New.
3. On the form, fill in the fields, then save the record.

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Reason | Title for the reason. The title is displayed in the list of reasons while booking an appointment on the Employee Center. |
   | Active | Option to activate the reason record. |

4. On the Available for related list, select the users or roles who must have access to the appointment reason.  
   You can also use the Not available for list to select the users or roles who must not have access to the reason.

Add the reasons to the walk-up location queue that you want to use for appointment booking.
