Mentoring is a new and modern platform that provides an opportunity for employees to find and build meaningful mentoring relationships to drive employee growth and engagement.

### Activating application {#exploring-mentoring__section_uc5_j2d_jtb}

You can activate the Mentoring from the ServiceNow store. This application includes demo data and activates related plugins if they aren't already active.  
Note:  
Mentoring is available with the Employee Center application. Some of the features of Mentoring work only when the Career Conversations application is activated.

### Request apps on the Store {#exploring-mentoring__parent-topic-send-to-store}

### Licensing {#exploring-mentoring__section_tvk_krc_jvb}

Mentoring leverages the new Talent Development licensing module. This licensing feature allows registered ServiceNow applications to grant users licenses for the apps based on employee profile and other additional criteria.
