# Install the NIST RMF Use Case Accelerator {#ariaid-title1}

The NIST RMF Use Case Accelerator is used with the GRC core applications: Policy and Compliance Management, Risk Management, and Audit Management applications.

## Before you begin

Role required: none.  
Note:  
Starting with version 10.1.0, the NIST RMF Use Case Accelerator will be supported only for customers who currently use the product. New and existing customers should consider using the GRC: Continuous Authorization Monitoring application. For details, [Continuous Authorization and Monitoring](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/s5uGqPgL9j543l_fdj99WQ "Continuous Authorization and Monitoring (CAM) employs the seven steps defined by the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) to allow you to make better-informed decisions about your security posture.").
Complete the following setup checklist prior to installation. These setup tasks are required for a smooth installation.{#install-nist-rmf__table_csf_install__entry__2}

| Verify that the following applications have been installed: * Policy and Compliance Management * Risk Management * Audit Management {#install-nist-rmf__ul_vmt_swl_dhb} | To verify that these applications are activated, navigate to Subscription ManagementSubscriptions in your instance. The list displays the subscriptions your organization has purchased. For more information about the setup and activation of the Risk Management plugin, see [Install Risk Management](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/rbV_Cmbs4vvqldd_X3G7Bg "You can install the Risk Management application (com.sn_risk) if you have the admin role. The application includes demo data and installs related ServiceNow Store applications and plugins if they are not already installed.") |

## Procedure

1. Log in to the instance you want to install the application on.
2. Navigate to System ApplicationsAll Available ApplicationsAll.
3. Locate the GRC: NIST RMF Accelerator application.
4. If you want to load demo data, select the Demo Data check box.
5. Click Install.
