# Record time worked on a repair task manually in the Hardware Asset Workspace {#ariaid-title1}

Create an entry for the time worked on an asset repair task manually in the Hardware Asset Workspace.

## Before you begin

Role required: asset

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesHardware Asset WorkspaceInventory.
2. Select the Repair orders tab.
3. Select the repair order that you're working on.
4. Select the Repair order lines tab.
5. Select the repair order line that you're working on.
6. Select the Repair asset tasks tab.
7. Select the task for which you want to record time manually.
8. Indicate that you started work on the task by selecting Start Work.  
   The Start Work option changes to Start Timer and Record Time automatically.
9. Select Record Time.
10. In the Record Time dialog box, enter the details of the time worked.
    1. Enter the time duration that you worked on the task in the Days, Hours, and Minutes fields.
    2. **Optional:** Provide any additional information in the Comments field.

11. Select Save.

## Result

The Time Worked form is saved and the time card is added to the Time Worked tab of the asset repair task.
