Export the list view of Collaborative Work Management (CWM) Boards to CSV or Microsoft Excel. Use the data to obtain insights, share with stakeholders, and prepare for analysis or presentations.

## Before you begin

[Create a Board in CWM](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/zkoJoFMBAOXopiyoAt2N4A "Manage work assigned to your team as tasks and track them to completion using customizable Boards for your shared Spaces in Collaborative Work Management.")

Role required: sn_cwm.cwm_user

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesCollaborative Work Management.
2. From a Space, select the Board that you want to export.
3. From the Board header, select the More options icon (![More options icon.]()), and then select Export.  
4. In the Export dialog, select the Board view that you want to export and the file type.

   | Option | Description |
   | Current board view | * Current board view: Exports only the currently displayed columns in the Board, including any column sorting or filters. * From the File type drop-down list, select CSV or Excel. {#export-a-board-in-cwm-to-csv-or-excel__ul_ihc_42k_bdc} |
   | Complete board view | * Complete board view: Exports all the columns in the Board, including the columns that aren't displayed. * From the File type drop-down list, select CSV or Excel. {#export-a-board-in-cwm-to-csv-or-excel__ul_jdk_p2k_bdc} |

5. Select Export.  
   Note:  
   The exported file doesn't retain the hierarchy of the tasks from the Board and all links, including URLs, references to records and assigned users, are converted to plain text.

## Result

The file is downloaded and saved in your local system.
