Mute a finding

  • Mute a finding on the Scan Finding form to avoid the finding from being reported in the later scan results.

    Before you begin

    Role required: admin.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Instance Scan > Results.
      A list of Scan Results shows up.
    2. Select the scan result you ran from the list.
      The Scan Result form for the scan shows up.
    3. Select the Scan Findings related list.
      A list of findings for the scan shows up.
    4. Use the information icon to open the finding you want to mute.
    5. Select Mute to avoid the finding from being reported in the next scan.

      Note:
      The Select Mute Reason modal shows up only if you select Mute on the Scan Finding form.
    6. Select the reason for muting the finding and then select Mute on the modal.
      Note:
      Select Unmute if you want the finding to be reported in the later scans. The Unmute button is visible only when you have muted a finding.
