Add affected CIs to the assessment record

  • Manually add the CIs in your organization that you think should be associated with the vulnerability assessment record but do not display in the affected CIs after initial assessment.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_vul_analyst.vul_event_manager

    About this task

    Add CIs that you know may have been impacted but do not show up after the assessment is done. You can only add CIs when the assessment record is in Declared or Pending assessment state.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Vulnerability Assessment Workspace.
    2. Select the required assessment record from the list.
    3. Select Add CIs.
    4. Select the configuration items from the Configuration Items dialog box.
    5. Select Add CIs.
      The Vulnerability Response- Add Configuraton Items to Event background job initiates and a relevant notification displays.
    6. Select View Status on the notification to view the status of the running job.

    Result

    Records are added to the Affected Configuration Items table with Source as Manual.

    What to do next

    Navigate to the Assessment tab, and refresh the Configurations Items (Host/Infra) widget to view the CIs that you added.
