Schedule one or more test suites to run at a specific date and time.

## Before you begin

You must have created the test suites you want to schedule.

Role required:
atf_test_admin or atf_test_designer

## About this task

To schedule a test suite, you need three components:

* A test suite record
* A schedule record specifying when you want the system to run the test suite
* A scheduled suite run record that associates the test suite to run with the schedule for running it

{#atf-sched-suite-steps__pbf_3bt_bz}For more information about the capabilities of and requirements for scheduled test suites, see [Working with scheduled test suites](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/6e4tGLM~ZCM2j9o5XcRxiA#atf-sched-suites "You can schedule a test suite to run at a specified date and time.").

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllAutomated Test FrameworkSchedules.
   The system displays the list of existing test suite schedules.
2. To create a new schedule, click New.
   The system displays the Suite Schedule record form. {#atf-sched-suite-steps__i1w_1vj_ty}
3. On the [Suite Schedule record form](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/xcL_A_QUPoqxt00k4j~_2w "The Suite Results record displays information about one test suite schedule."), enter the name of the schedule, the frequency with which to run associated suites, the time at which to run associated suites, and the timezone for this schedule.
4. **Optional:** Specify a condition that must be met for running associated test suites by selecting Conditional, then fill in the Condition text box with the appropriate script. {#atf-sched-suite-steps__ac4_zvj_ty}
5. Add a test suite to run by navigating to the Scheduled Suites related list, then clicking New.
   The system displays the [Scheduled Suite Run](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/jTD9VZ2RU7SZcIfbhoOs7Q "A Scheduled Suite Run record associates a Suite Schedule record with a Test Suite.") record form. {#atf-sched-suite-steps__wnn_swj_ty}
6. On the [Scheduled Suite Run](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/jTD9VZ2RU7SZcIfbhoOs7Q "A Scheduled Suite Run record associates a Suite Schedule record with a Test Suite.") record form enter the appropriate data.
   1. Enter the test suite to run. {#atf-sched-suite-steps__k2r_w4p_ty}
   2. If the suite contains UI steps, enter any client constraints you wish to apply (such as browser to use).
      For more information on client constraints, see [Scheduled Suite Run](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/jTD9VZ2RU7SZcIfbhoOs7Q "A Scheduled Suite Run record associates a Suite Schedule record with a Test Suite."). {#atf-sched-suite-steps__y53_z4p_ty}
   3. Add to the record's watchlist users you want the system to inform (by email) when the scheduled suite has finished. {#atf-sched-suite-steps__x3p_1pp_ty}
   4. Click Submit. {#atf-sched-suite-steps__dtc_rxj_ty}
   {#atf-sched-suite-steps__j2r_w4p_ty} {#atf-sched-suite-steps__nkl_dwj_ty}
7. **Optional:** Add more test suites to this schedule by repeating steps 5 and 6. {#atf-sched-suite-steps__zvn_rxj_ty}
8. Click Update. {#atf-sched-suite-steps__xkd_wxj_ty}
9. If your suite includes any test steps that work with a form -- or any other element on the client side, open a browser window for running the client portion of the scheduled tests.
   1. Review [Browser recommendations and requirements](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/frcpA6a_l_pZrHyMCq9O_g#atf-test-runners__kvv_h25_gx) for all tests and suites, as well as those that apply only to scheduled suite runs. {#atf-sched-suite-steps__r5m_5s1_cz}
   2. In the Navigator, right-click Scheduled Client Test Runner, and then click the option to open in a separate tab or window, as you prefer. {#atf-sched-suite-steps__uls_psq_ty}
   3. Leave open the browser window that's running the client test runner and return to the browser window that contains the Navigator. {#atf-sched-suite-steps__wls_psq_ty}
