    Introduced in-product assistance, also known as Help Center, for the landing, list, and analytics pages of Source-to-Pay Workspace.​ Select the Help Center icon on these pages to view the content. This feature enables you to access the information directly from within your workspace.

    Introduced a new application that provides integration experience between two ServiceNow products, Source-to-Pay Operations and Contract Management Pro, to support adhoc contract request initiation within the sourcing and purchasing workflows. Once a contract request is initiated, the contract workflows are kicked off, leveraging Contract Management Pro's capabilities. Customers entitled to both Source-to-Pay Operations (or Sourcing and Procurement Operations) and Contract Management Pro will get the option to install this integration application.

    Now Assist for Sourcing and Procurement Operations (SPO)
    With Now Assist for Sourcing and Procurement Operations (SPO), fulfillers can easily summarize procurement-related records, providing real-time progress updates and action items. Available summarization skills include:

    Request the generative AI capabilities by using the Now Assist for SPO Virtual Agent
    Requesters can leverage contextual generative AI using the Now Assist for SPO Virtual Agent to complete self-service tasks, such as purchasing products or tracking the status of purchase requisitions, sourcing requests, or procurement cases.
    Log in to Shopping Hub for the first time
    Specify a default delivery address when logging in to Shopping Hub for the first time after initial setup to ensure supplier products display correctly.
    Complete sourcing checkout
    Add users to the watch list on sourcing requests and purchase requisitions:
    • Provide visibility into state changes of purchase requisitions and sourcing requests to the users who aren't submitters or business owners.
    • Configure the number of users allowed to be added to the watch list.
    • Enable fulfillers to add users to the watch list at any stage of the request life cycle.
    • Configure notifications to include watch list users regarding updates on the request.
    Edit a purchase requisition line
    Fulfillers can use the enhanced Edit a purchase option to edit the service date, delivery date, delivery address, and quantity on purchase requisition lines and purchase order lines. For more information, see Edit a purchase order line.
    Purchasing from punchout or third-party suppliers
    Shoppers can search for all the products, including those from external suppliers, directly within Shopping Hub. The configuration of the Search API, Order API, and Product Details API determines whether shoppers can complete their purchases directly in Shopping Hub or are redirected to external supplier websites. Products from third-party suppliers with configured Order API and Product details API can be viewed, added to cart, and purchased from within Shopping Hub. For suppliers without this configuration, a notification appears, redirecting shoppers to the supplier’s external site to add items to the cart and place the order. The shopper is subsequently redirected to Shopping Hub where they can continue with the checkout process. For more information, see Configure punchout for third-party site purchases.
    Configure punchout for third-party site purchases
    Set up cXML and API connections through a configuration framework to enable your shoppers to use AI search within Shopping Hub, enabling them to browse both third-party and native catalog items.
    Process visibility
    Render end-to-end process visibility in Shopping Hub so that your shoppers have transparency into the procurement process after they submit a request. You can also configure this feature to meet your own business processes. For example, you can use a default content and configuration framework to modify and edit your own content.
    • Configure end-to-end process visibility through a configuration framework that enables administrators to define and modify steps, and the work that is within each step. You can also sequence and change labels to promote flexibility and alignment with your business processes.
    • Provide your shoppers with the following end-to-end visibility on sourcing requests, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders in Shopping Hub:
      • Progress of the requests and expected completion timelines.
      • Step dependencies and progress of the sequential and concurrent steps.
      • Completed, current, and future steps, enabling oversight of the status of the work within steps.
      • Sequencing of work, such as approvals, cases, and tasks.
      • Enhanced communication for your shoppers so that they can message task assignees and task assigners directly from within the platform. You can track this communication through audit trails.
      • Record of your shoppers' page navigation between My Purchases List and Details view pages on Shopping Hub.

    Multi-currency support
    View and select your local currency while shopping for products in Shopping Hub to provide a seamless multi-currency experience.
    Purchase requisition line-level questions
    Create configurable, line-level questions during checkout in Shopping Hub. These questions are defined in Catalog Builder and are specific to certain products or product categories.

    Access a unified, filter-based view of category performance across spend, savings, pipeline projects, contracts, purchase orders, and suppliers.
    Category analytics

    In Employee Center, you can search for punchout products directly using the AI search bar. After you search for a product, matching items from the third-party supplier's catalog are displayed on the Supplier Site Catalog tab.
    Unified request tracking in Shopping Hub
    From My Purchases in Shopping Hub, you can search purchased products or services using the original or associated procurement record IDs, tracking details from order to fulfillment. Additionally, you can use keywords or the first three letters of a procurement record type to search for and view your purchases.
    Browse punchout and native catalog items from the Categories and Suppliers lists in SH
    In Shopping Hub, you can view both the punchout products and the natively available products from the Categories or the Suppliers list on the Shopping Hub home page.
    Map Product Categories and Units of Measure for Seamless Checkout
    You can map the product categories and units of measure for third-party products to the corresponding model categories. This capability helps to ensure that during checkout, Shopping Hub accurately considers and displays the product category for the purchase order lines (POL) and purchase requisition lines (PRL) based on your predefined mappings.
    Submit an edit receipt request from Shopping Hub
    Shoppers can submit edit receipt requests from Shopping Hub to correct discrepancies in accepted receipts, ensuring accurate updates to purchase orders, purchase order lines, and received quantities.
    Process an edit receipt request in playbook
    Fulfillers can review the edit receipt requests and either confirm or reject them. If the request is valid, they can process the request using the Edit a Receipt playbook in the Source-to-Pay Workspace.
    Edit purchase requisitions with cost allocation adjustments
    Shoppers can modify purchase requisitions (PRs) and purchase orders (POs) while maintaining cost allocation across multiple cost centers.
    Spend and Savings Management

    Spend and Savings Management (sn_spend_mgmt) enables category managers to import and maintain their organization’s category taxonomy. Integrating this taxonomy into ServiceNow helps streamline procurement processes, monitor spend, and assess savings more efficiently at the category level.

    Return a product
    Shoppers can now initiate replacements for goods directly from the Shopping Hub/EC. Previously, only returns for refunds were supported. This enhancement allows shoppers to replace faulty or unsatisfactory items, offering greater flexibility and improving the overall shopping experience.
    Using Now Assist for Contract Management in Procurement Service Management
    Extract metadata from a signed contract attached in a contract repository record and analyze a contract document with agentic AI to identify non-standard and missing clauses.
    Now Assist for Sourcing and Procurement Operations (SPO)
    Activate the following new skills for Now Assist for SPO:
    • Negotiation summarization for fulfillers: Summarize negotiations to keep fulfillers informed on their current status, progress, and action items.
    • Negotiation event summarization for fulfillers: Summarize negotiation events to keep fulfillers informed on their current status, progress, and action items.
    • Purchase order summarization for requesters: Summarize purchase orders to keep requesters informed about their current status, progress, and action items.
    • Purchase requisition summarization for requesters: Summarize purchase requisitions to keep requesters informed about their current status, progress, and action items.

    Use agentic workflows for Sourcing and Procurement Operations to fulfill your procurement needs through intelligent product recommendations, guided checkout and off-catalog purchasing processes, and detailed product information. These workflows also help answer procurement-related questions and efficiently track associated records.

    Zurich

    Multi-currency support in Shopping Hub

    Enable multi-currency display across approval-related views, including To-Dos, tasks, email notifications, and the Bundles page. Currency values are shown in both the approver’s local currency and the original supplier currency where applicable. The local currency is displayed as the primary value, with the original currency shown as a secondary reference. This display format provides consistent currency visibility for approvers during review.

    Decimal quantity support service-based purchases

    Enable requesters to enter and edit decimal quantities for service-based purchase requisitions and purchase orders without validation errors. Decimal quantities are supported only for services to maintain data integrity. Decimal quantities for goods are not supported and return a clear validation message. This validation logic is consistent across Shopping Hub and Employee Center.

    Automatically assign categories during SR

    Automatically classify service requests, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders into the correct spend categories using the Spend categorization agent. This classification process reduces manual classification effort and improves consistency across procurement workflows.

    Purchase behalf another user Shopping
    Enable users to purchase on behalf of others without requiring delegate configuration in Shopping Hub. Users can manage individuals they are authorized to purchase for, directly within the buying experience. Purchases made on behalf of others are visible through filtering by business owner in the My Purchases view.
    Purchase requisition line-level questions Shopping
    Create configurable, line-level questions during checkout in Shopping Hub. These questions are defined in Catalog Builder and are specific to certain products or product categories.

    Sourcing Procurement Operations integration Asset

    The Asset Management Integration for Sourcing and Procurement Operations plugin (com.snc.sn_spend_asset) provides an integration between IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Sourcing and Procurement Operations (SPO) applications, enhancing operational efficiency. This integration enables asset managers to access catalog items, including those items without assigned prices, directly within the ITAM workspace. By enabling procurement actions without switching platforms, it streamlines workflows and improves the user experience.

    Sourcing Pipeline Management
    Sourcing Pipeline Management introduces a centralized approach to managing sourcing projects, enabling you to create, track, and manage sourcing activities in one place. It includes workflow automation to reduce manual effort, improves visibility into sourcing activities, and supports tracking and forecasting of cost savings.
    Using Shopping Hub
    Enter decimal quantities when creating purchase requisitions for service items using quick or full checkout flows in Shopping Hub. Edit service acknowledgments with decimal values to enable more precise tracking of service consumption.
    Purchasing tasks and procurement cases
    Review and respond to proposed case resolutions based on conditions defined in the decision tables before the case is permanently closed. When a fulfiller marks a case as resolved, the system now automatically transitions the case status to Awaiting Acceptance, pausing closure until the requester takes action. Requesters are notified via email with actionable buttons and can also accept or reject the resolution directly through the Employee Center. This notification helps to ensure that unresolved issues are addressed before a case is closed, improving resolution accuracy and customer satisfaction.

    Procurement Service Management integration with Project Management
    Implemented content changes to the intake form that an employee or requester fills in with project details to be captured in the integration experience with the Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) product.
    Note:
    These project questions are only available on the intake form if the employee or requester has access to SPM. There’s no impact on existing customers.
    Complete sourcing checkout
    Implemented content changes within the sourcing checkout form for items without pricing in the Shopping Hub product catalog to align with the same intake questions in the off-catalog experience in Employee Center. Existing customers using both Shopping Hub and Employee Center see an alignment of questions in both experiences.

    As a requester, provide the contact details of a supplier that you’re interested in working with during intake of catalog items where pricing is needed. A supplier contact record is stored and created for procurement fulfillers to use when reviewing sourcing or purchasing details. Both existing and new customers see these changes.

    Requesting for products or services that you don't see on ShoppingHub
    Modified the intake form experience for requesters or employees requesting for multiple goods or services, or both, from Employee Center. These include the "I need a good" and "I need a service" intake forms or record producers.

    Additionally, there’s a new summary page within Employee Center to confirm the submission and item details. If existing customers take this new feature, they must apply the modified record producer payload to capture multiple goods or services, or both.

    Changes were made to the default intake form to enable each good or service, or both, to have the same or different delivery or service address, and dates. Existing customers can apply this experience to their own intake forms with their own questions.

    Procurement Service Management integration with third-party sourcing solutions
    Implemented an additional ability within the integration framework for third-party sourcing tools to know when to close bids now, before the bids end date. In addition, if a supplier award has been made in a third-party sourcing tool, the award response would return to ServiceNow.
    Note:
    Currently, only a single supplier response can be returned to ServiceNow.

    Default email content and in-product alert messages are implemented to inform the employee or requester and the sourcing manager or fulfiller when a Request for Quote (RFQ) has been created in the third-party sourcing tool, and when a supplier award can be made in ServiceNow.

    Existing customers are additionally impacted by a consolidation of decision tables used to trigger the third-party sourcing tool integration. While one is deprecated, another is active and in use. Existing customers must ensure that they use the active decision table only.

    Customers with the entire Source-to-Pay (S2P) product suite, or any of the individual products within the S2P suite, now share the same workspace, where content within the workspace is role-based. Fulfillers see multiple or single landing pages, and have access to different lists based on their roles. Existing customers who built their own workspace landing pages for SPO, SLO, or APO will see their landing pages within the single workspace.

    A new related list tab for emails is now available to capture all business correspondence done over emails. This tab will display both sent and draft emails.

    Simplified the purchase line form for fulfillers to view contextual details within the sourcing and negotiation workflows, and the purchasing workflows. Existing customers will see a change in their form layout in both workspace and Platform views.

    Simplified the sourcing request form for fulfillers to easily navigate and discover fields that matter, to make sourcing decisions. Existing customers will see a change in their form layout in both workspace and Platform views.

    Enhanced the usability such that a fulfiller can now create a case with just one click from the Source-to-Pay Workspace.

    Simplified the case form for fulfillers to view only relevant fields. These will be rendered automatically depending on the type of the record. For example, if a related purchase requisition is populated, then the fulfiller will see the Order dependent on case field, and not the Sourcing decision dependent on case and Qualification dependent on case fields. Similarly, fields like Created date will no longer be visible because they are not adding any value to the case form and are just making it crowded.
    Create a procurement task
    As fulfillers, you can create procurement tasks with specific actions types from the Source-to-Pay Workspace pages, and assign them to employees or shoppers. The supported action types are Submit a form, Sign a document, and Upload a document. This helps shoppers understand what is expected of them to complete the tasks. There’s no impact on existing customers for tasks that are already created, and these new changes are effected with the upgrade.
    Shopper to-dos
    As shoppers, you can see tasks such as Submit a form, Sign a document, and Upload a document in your to-do list in Shopping Hub.
    Procurement Service Management integration with Employee Center
    As employees, you can see tasks such as Submit a form, Sign a document, and Upload a document in your task page in Employee Center. You can also view the completed tasks in the Completed tab in your task page in Employee Center.
    Order a product with quick checkout
    As requesters or employees, you can submit a request to purchase a good or service with a past date within the intake form experience. These requests continue to be marked as after-the-fact purchases. Existing customers see the past date validation removed from the intake forms, so past dates are captured and passed to the database as valid responses.

    Shoppers can now navigate to punchout supplier sites from Shopping Hub or Employee Center and make purchases from external sites. Level 1 cXML-based punchout is now supported. A separate link is available for navigating to third-party supplier sites. A new widget page that lists out all third-party punchout supplier sites is also available.

    Introduced back-end workflows, interface tables, and logic to support Level 1 cXML protocol based punchout to third-party supplier sites.

    Shoppers can now view and make single supplier internal bundle purchases from Shopping Hub. Introduced back-end workflows and logic to support these single supplier internal bundle purchases.
    Using ShoppingHub
    Implemented additional user experience analytics for Shopping Hub to track user sessions, page activity, and navigation within My Purchases, to better understand product usage and user experience. Existing and new customers with the user experience application can see this event tracking to understand their users' Shopping Hub usage.
    Purchase and Receipt Automation
    Addressed a workflow compliance issue where the state within the sourcing and purchasing workflows could be changed manually, bypassing automation, thus causing downstream workflow and usability issues. The State field is made read-only, so that the state flow can adhere to the designed workflow and automation. Existing customers can no longer change the state manually for sourcing request, purchase lines, negotiation event, negotiation, and purchase requisition tables.
    Spendint API
    Enhanced the common integration framework to include:
    • Inbound tables for purchase order, receipt, and cost allocations, which when populated create purchase orders, receipts, and cost allocations in the Sourcing and Procurement Operations tables.
    • Scheduled jobs primary flow, which can be used by partners to develop jobs to fetch the data from ERP systems.
    • Common error handling framework, which can be used as a standard framework for integrating with any ERPs.
    Note:
    There’s no impact on existing customers and these changes come in effect only with this upgrade.

    As fulfillers, view the integration error tasks that are being generated as part of the new integration framework structure.

    Components installed with Procurement Service Management
    Provide alignment between all Source-to-Pay (S2P) products and expose more commonly used data points to the end user by rescoping the Supplier field to the Service Task (sn_spend_sdc_service_task) table. With this, all tables extending the Service Task table can pull in the Supplier field for a better task experience. If you're an existing customer, you can see the Supplier field deprecated from the Supplier Task table and made available in the Service Task table through a fixed script.

    Introduced new actions and user pages to support Supplier Lifecycle Operations task management features.

    SPO list page
    All playbooks in SPO have been standardized to deliver a consistent look and feel, enhancing the overall user experience.
    Configure conditions for merging purchase requisitions
    Set the conditions for merging purchase requisitions (PRs). Procurement administrators can define which fields must match for PR merges, ensuring flexibility to align with specific business processes.
    Add a sourcing request to a negotiation event
    Introduced a unified logic for calculating supplier response close dates when adding sourcing requests to new or existing negotiation events. This ensures consistency in date calculations, regardless of whether the dates are system-generated or manually defined by procurement fulfillers.
    Procurement Service Management integration with third-party sourcing solutions
    Enhanced the Source-to-Pay Integration Framework for integrations with third-party sourcing tools. You can now support negotiation-event-based integrations that consist of multiple sourcing requests.

    Enhanced the purchase order cancellation flow when it's updated from the purchase order outbound table.

    Inbound staging tables for Procurement Service Management
    Made the following updates related to inbound staging tables:
    • Introduced the following staging table and transform map:
      • Staging table: Spend Shipment Import inbound [sn_spend_intg_imp_shipment]

      • Transform map: Spend Shipment Import
    • Transferred attachments from the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system staging table to the main Purchase Order table. These attachments are also visible on the purchase order.
    Source-to-Pay integration framework
    Updated some fields and processes in the Source-to-Pay Integration Framework to build connection points and to work with other ERP systems, including the following fields and processes:
    • Turned off the buttons to update purchase order when the integration status in the staging table is New or In Process.
    • Disallowed purchase order lines to be created when purchase orders haven’t been brought in yet from the ERP system. Added a scheduled job to retry adding purchase order lines after a purchase order is created.
    • Added missing columns and removed some columns in some staging and primary tables such as the outbound receipt, purchasing group primary and staging, cost center staging, and Fx currency tables. Updated the transform map logic for some of these tables to render these columns.
    • Created the ERP plant address mapping staging table.

    Starting with the Washington DC release, classic ShoppingHub [com.snc.sn_shop] is being prepared for future deprecation. If you’re an existing customer who has upgraded, you may choose to continue with the existing ShoppingHub plugin and skip Shopping Hub [com.snc.sn_spend_uib]. However, for the UI Builder (UIB) experience, you must install the Shopping Hub plugin. Remember that you can't go back to the existing ShoppingHub plugin after you’ve installed this Shopping Hub plugin.

    Supplier risk assessment and supplier tiering assessment cases have been retired and replaced by the due diligence case, to follow the new Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) data model changes.
