# Work on request as user

# Work on self-served contract requests as a contract user {#ariaid-title1}

Edit a contract request, regenerate the contract document, and send it for signature.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_cm_core.contract_user

## Procedure

1. Navigate to your workspace.
2. Open the contract request.
3. Work on the contract request.

   | Action | Steps |
   | Modify the request details | Modify the fields of the self-served review request. To add a company name that is not listed in the Company field, select the Add new company name check box and then enter the company name in the New company legal name field. |
   | Regenerate contract document | Create a contract document revision from the contract template that includes the latest values and discards the changes made in the previous version of the document. For more information, see [Regenerate contract document after modifying request](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/6FX7BNxA0JiNhA6mb0Vg7g "As a contract user or contract fulfiller, regenerate the contract document for self-served requests when the parent request has been modified."). |
   | Sync the document Note: This option is available on Contract Management Pro starting with version 1.2.1 | Create a new version of the contract document with updated metadata and signatories while retaining the changes made in the previous version. For more information, see [Create an updated contract document revision after modifying a self-served contract request (starting Contract Management Pro 1.2.1)](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/svlzUknlQlNrwejmjCa0OA "When a contract request is modified, sync the contract document for self-served requests to create revision of the document with updated metadata and signatories while retaining the changes made in the previous version of the contact document."). |
   | Sync signatories Note: This option isn't available on Contract Management Pro starting with version 1.2.1 because it is no longer necessary. | Update the contract document with the latest signatory details.    | Initiate an offline signature Note: This option is available only when the signature type is Offline signature. | A contract that has been signed outside Contract Management Pro. Signature request emails are not sent to the signatories.
